At the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, we are committed to the study of how human and environmental health can intersect to support a healthy and sustainable future.
On campus and off, we have a multitude of learning venues beyond the classroom. With living labs, research laboratories, farms, greenhouses, gardens, living-learning communities, ecological preserves, the nearby Raritan River, and research stations around the state, we believe in classrooms without walls.
While taking advantage of all a large state university has to offer, our students enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a small college. SEBS students form close bonds with their peers through classes, research, living-learning communities, and a rich student life experience.
Our students are encouraged to gain a global perspective to their studies through study abroad opportunities and international research and collaboration, or through interacting with the vast faculty and student body who come to Rutgers from across the globe.
